Professor Emeritus, Years at UGA: 1980-2009 My research interest is the topology of singularities, with applications to algebraic geometry and differential geometry. For more than 20 years I have worked with Adam Parusinski (University of Nice) on invariants of real algebraic varieties and semialgebraic sets. In 2009 I became Professor Emeritus at UGA. In 2008-09 I taught Modern Algebra and Geometry I, Modern Algebra and Geometry II, Foundations of Geometry, and Differential Geometry. For six years I was the director of the department's National Science Foundation VIGRE program (2001-2007). Research Research Areas: Topology Geometry
